About Lewis
Lewis is a professional guitarist and guitar teacher from Hull, UK playing and teaching all styles but specialising in gypsy jazz. Lewis has performed all around the UK, France and the Netherlands.
Lewis was recently featured in "Guitarist" magazine as part of the next generation of Django Reinhardt style players.
He is also really passionate about teaching and has an ever growing student base with students from all around the world learning the guitar!
He has a growing online presence with his YouTube channel posting tuition videos.

Performances
Lewis is one of the founders of the "Yorkshire Gypsy Swing Collective" A gypsy jazz supergroup with musicians from all around Yorkshire playing music inspired from legendary musicians Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli of the “Quintette du Hot Club de France”. The Collective remains in the spirit of Django and Stephane, whilst pushing the genre of ‘gypsy jazz’ forward into a modern sphere.
Alongside playing with his own gypsy jazz band, he also gets invited to play with other musicians from around the UK and Europe. Lewis has performed with many of the "big names" in the genre.
Lewis also performs with his Dad "Al Kilvo" as part of the "Two Pianos - Rock and Roll Experience" Playing music inspried by Jerry Lee Lewis (who he is named after), Buddy Holly, Ray Charles and more.
This show is either with the full band at large theatres or a stripped back "Unplugged" version of the show scaled-down production of "The Rock 'n' Roll Experience", bringing its high-energy show to smaller music halls and theaters.

Online Presence Growth
Lewis Was recently featured in "Guitarist" Magazine which is one of the best selling guitar magazines in the world. Lewis was featured in an article talking about the legacy of Django Reinhardt and how he inspired the greats of today. Lewis has been branded as "The next generation of Django style players".
Lewis uploads tuition videos on YouTube offering help and advice on playing "Gypsy Jazz" and has a growing online community of guitarist dedicated to the genre.

Teacher Portfolio
Lewis has been teaching privately since 2015 and has a 100% exam pass rate for students his taking their exams. Lessons are held online or in-person as his home studio in Hull.
